A lovely little souvenir doll. Previously owned and "of a certain age" (not sure quite how old, the lady isn't telling).
This little lady has movable arms and legs, with mesh net gloves and stockings, with ribbon garters. One foot is fixed to a plastic base which is labelled Souvenir de Paris, the other foot is free.
Her lace petticoat is discoloured at the edges (I think from being displayed) Her dress is pink with a black lace trim at the bottom edge, a black ribbon sash and silver sequin detail to the bodice. Her hat is black felt trimmed with a large purple feather.
Her blonde hair is tightly rolled in a traditional style. her features are painted on.
She stands approx. 5" tall.
No original box.
She is quite delicate but appears to be ageing gracefully.
This is a collector's item.
A gift for a dancer, or perhaps Paint Your Wagon, CanCan, Gypsy or Orpheus in the Underworld.
This is not a toy and is not suitable for children under 36 months because of small parts.
